Interesting statistics from the latest Australian Institute of Management (AIM) survey reveal that salary ranges in construction and engineering leads the national average for salary movement in 2013/2014, with an average salary movement of 4.02% in 2013/2014. During this time industry workers increased their wages by a 3.6% average across the country. These numbers are contrary to the general weakening demand for labour in construction and engineering and all other industries which have been forecasted to see sluggish pay increases in the coming years.

Other key findings include:
-highest pay increase by location reported by companies in Western Australia
-recruitment difficulties most common when hiring workers in construction and engineering
